Our final project for 6.900 Engineering for Impact. I got to design all of what it looks like + aesthetics! Also worked on some of the sensor/comms PCBs. Here’s the full deck here.
I was inspired by Boston street gas lamps, and I had to work in constraints surrounding solar cell angle, sensor panel adjustments, electronics access, electrician access, and comms and battery slots inside. A lot of thinking and hours and redesigns went into this one. It was fun to think about design for outdoors (especially Boston).
